eastern art

Rachel Thompson’s work derives its cohesiveness from an underlying sensitivity for the ethereal and an earnest curiosity for the divine.  Working often from a highly personal stance she draws upon her own visionary artistic journey and then fuses it with the wisdom and mystical symbolism of ancient cultures.  The result is imagery that not only reflects her own journey, but also something far more universal.  Universal in the sense that it continually reaches out for a higher spiritual connection.  It is my belief as a fellow artist that this is the highest ambition an artist can undertake….to take something that we can only feel and attempt to translate into a vision.
